Roma vendors selling whitewashing brushes in a photograph by Vákár László, taken in the early 20th century at the market square of Gheorgheni (today’s main square).
On the right-hand corner of what is now the pedestrian street, the former Cziffra Palace could still be seen at the time; it burned down in the autumn of 1944.
